Oizumi Film Studio

…Shinko Kinema built a new studio in Oizumi, Tokyo, in addition to the one in Uzumasa, Kyoto (1935). In 1942, like Nikkatsu, it was merged into Daiei, and both the Uzumasa and Oizumi studios became Daiei studios.

In 1921, Makino Shozo, the head of Nikkatsu's Kyoto studio, became independent and built a studio at Tojiin Temple in Kyoto, where he began making films.
