Order: Artiodactyla, family: Bovidae. Also called the giant antelope. Body length: 3.5m, height: about 1.8m. Body color: grayish or brown, with a white line on the chest. Both males and females have horns that can reach 1.2m in length. They live in small herds of about 15-25 individuals in grasslands and shrublands, and mainly eat leaves and other plants at night. They have a keen sense of smell and hearing. They are found in central and southern Africa.
