A general term for Zhao Shixiu, Weng Juan, Xu Zhao, and Xu Qi of the Southern Song Dynasty in China. All were poets from Yongjia (Zhejiang Province), and were so named because their alternate names contain the character for "spirit." They were all either unofficial or minor officials, and they wrote simple poems about their daily lives, based on Tang poetry. They are considered to be the pioneers of the increase in folk poets during the Southern Song Dynasty.
