The Tairacho melody seems to have been popular in the Heian period, and "Etenraku Utamono" (Eternal Music Songs) were created with lyrics that were adapted to it. The "Kurodabushi" from Fukuoka Prefecture is an example of this folk song that has been preserved as "Etenraku Imayo" and is also called "Chikuzen Imayo." The origin of the koto kumiuta is recognized as Etenraku Utamono, which was handed down as temple songs. ...

...The koto is also played in a flat key. In addition, after the line "Let's dance Kotenraku...", the song includes a song from Kotenraku Utamono. This is also used in the Noh play Umegae, which can be considered a sequel to (1), as well as in Ema and Genjo. It is also used in the Noh jiuta Umegae and the koto group song Umegae.
