XO type

…In humans, females are 44A+XX and males are 44A+XY (A indicates an autosome). However, in males, the Y chromosome may be missing, which is called the XO type, and is common in grasshoppers such as the prairie locust. Conversely, females may be heterozygous and males may be homozygous.
