A foundation established in January 1925 within the Ministry of Home Affairs' Social Bureau for the purpose of providing care for the elderly and ill who were unable to support themselves as a result of the Great Kanto Earthquake. The facility, Yokufuen, opened in 1927 in what is now Kamitakaido, Suginami Ward, Tokyo. In 1977, it was reorganized as a social welfare corporation and operates elderly care services and paid nursing homes under the Public Assistance Law. 関東大震災のため,自活不能に陥った老衰病疾者を保護する目的で,1925年1月内務省社会局内に設立された財団法人。この施設として浴風園が 27年現在の東京都杉並区上高井戸に開園された。 52年社会福祉法人に改組され,生活保護法による養老事業および有料老人ホームを経営している。
