Science fiction novels - SF novels

...The three SF genres have developed in completely different directions, and in the media, the focus of (1) and (2) is shifting to things other than novels. For this reason, the term speculative fiction is often used for (3) in English-speaking countries, and even in Japan, the term SF novels is often used to refer to novels. Although (1) to (3) are linked by novels, (1) developed mainly in America, (2) in Russia, the Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, and America, and (3) in Britain.
