Kawiah - Kawiago

Japanese: カウィア語 - かうぃあご
Kawiah - Kawiago

...Based on the assumption that languages migrated from the Old World, some linguistic relationships between the two continents have been hypothesized, and although some comparisons have been attempted, such as between the Eskimo-Aleut and Uralo-Altaic languages, and between the Hoka and Malayo-Polynesian languages, no definitive proof has yet been found.
[Phonology and Grammar: The Case of Kawiah]
The phonology and grammar of this language are briefly described. It is a Kahuian language, an Aztec language belonging to the Aztec-Tanoan language family, which is widespread from southern California to Mexico. Speakers of this language currently live mainly on a few reservations about 150 km southeast of Los Angeles, but the number of speakers has steadily decreased, to less than 100 people today.
