Viverridae

…General term for a mammalian species belonging to the order Carnivora, the superfamily Mongooseoidea, the family Viverridae. They are endemic to the tropical and subtropical regions of the Old World, and are found in Africa, Madagascar (the only carnivorous species found there), southern Europe, and southern Asia. There are 35 genera and about 72 species.
