〘noun〙① In China, a person who carried mail, luggage, etc. at each post station. *From Sho Kenwara (1403)'s painting Ume "The postal messenger does not convey the message of the southern country, the evening sun and the moon look sideways at a single angle." ② In ancient times, an official messenger was issued with a postal bell and used a postal horse to travel, staying at each post station on the road and receiving provisions. Compared to postal messengers who used horseback riding, they were more likely to be in urgent situations. Hayuma-zukai.
