A town in Ama County, western Aichi Prefecture. Located on the Nobi Plain, it has many rivers and swamps, creating a water town landscape. It is connected to the Kansai Main Line, the Kintetsu Nagoya Line, and the Tomei-Osaka Expressway, and is adjacent to Nagoya City, so it has been rapidly urbanized.
