A district of Yoshino-cho, Yoshino-gun, central Nara Prefecture. Formerly Kamiichi-cho. A market village developed along the Ise Highway, which runs along the terraces on the north bank of the Yoshino River, facing Shimoichi-cho downstream. National Route 169 runs through the area, and Yamato-Kamiichi Station on the Kintetsu Railway Yoshino Line is located here.
