A travel guidebook is a publication that provides tourists with information about a destination. In addition to background information on the natural, historical, social, economic, and cultural aspects of the destination, it includes information on transportation, food and accommodation, clothing, tourist routes, sightseeing spots, festivals, recreation, and souvenirs. Guidebooks are small, easy-to-carry pocket-sized publications that are easy to carry around, and are composed of accurate, easy-to-read descriptions and maps, as well as objective evaluations of sightseeing spots, recommended hotels, and restaurants.
