Ureibushi - Ureibushi

...This was a transitional phenomenon, as no distinctive tayu had yet appeared in the Kami-Osaka region. Yamamoto Kakutayu (Yamamoto Tosa-no-jo), who had studied the Fumiya-bushi style at the Dewa-no-jo Theater in Osaka, performed the Ureibushi style in Kyoto around 1575 (Enpo 3). His pupil was Matsumoto Harutayu.
