A legendary figure.
A poem that was sent to the fairy Tsuminoe by a man from Yoshino, Yamato (Nara Prefecture) is found in Volume 3 of the "Manyoshu." The name of this plant appears as "Mina" in the poems of Kino-ohito and others in the "Kaifuso."

大和(奈良県)吉野の人で,仙女の柘枝(つみのえ)におくったという歌1首が「万葉集」巻3にある。「懐風藻」の紀男人(きの-おひと)らの詩には美稲としてその名がみえる。
