Our house

Japanese: ウチ
Our house
A term in Japanese music. A style of playing an instrument. Also called "utsume" and kanji "da" (strike). (1) In the shamisen, it is a style of playing in which the strings are struck at designated points with the fingers of the left hand, without plucking with the plectrum. It is also called "da" (strike) when the fingers of the left hand are brought together and the neck is lightly struck to create a pause. (2) In sokyoku, it is also called "uchizume" (strike the strings lightly with the pad of the nail of the middle finger, without plucking with the nails, and is often accelerando (gradually speeding up). However, in the Tsukushi koto, it refers to a style of playing that corresponds to tsukiiro in ordinary sokyoku, and in the "Itotake Shoshinshu," it refers to a style of playing that corresponds to kakitē. In the "Koto Taii-sho," the character "da" is used to notate when the strings are not plucked with the nails at the beats.
