Gold God of the North - Ushitora no Konjin

...The fundamental deity is called Tenchikinnokami. Omotokyo, founded by Nao Deguchi, was also influenced by Konkokyo in its early stages, and preached that the Konjin of Ushitora, who is in the direction of evil, will restore the world. This tendency to turn curse gods and evil deities into gods of good fortune is one of the characteristics of popular religious movements that emerge during periods of social change.
