Shrine parishioner's card - Ujikofuda
〘 noun 〙 A wooden tag given by a Shinto priest to a baby around the 30th day after birth or at the time of a shrine visit at the age of seven as a sign that the baby has become a shrine parishioner. In particular, amulets issued by shrines at the time of a newborn baby's shrine visit under the system of investigating shrine parishioners at large and small shrines in 1871 (Meiji 4 ).
