...The first shrine is Usa Jingu (Usa Hachiman Shrine) in Usa City, Oita Prefecture. Hachiman contributed greatly to the construction of the Great Buddha of Todaiji Temple and played a major role in the incident of Dokyo's oracle at Usa Hachiman Shrine in 769 (Jingo Keiun 3).
