China, former Han Emperor Liu Xun of the Dai period. Reigned 71-49 BC. Great-grandson of Emperor Wu and grandson of Prince Li. A few months after his birth, he was imprisoned for his involvement in the Wu Gu Rebellion, but was amnestied and raised among the common people. At the age of 18, he was supported by Huo Guang to succeed the deposed Emperor Liu He and ascended to the throne. After Huo Guang's death, he took control of the country and established a Confucian policy, but he also leaned towards a hegemonic approach, such as rewarding the good and punishing the bad, and appointing cruel officials. In the north of the desert, internal conflict broke out among the Xiongnu, and King Ri Zhu and Huhanye Chanyu submitted to him. He established the Western Regions Protectorate to secure trade routes with the various Western Regions countries.

中国，前漢代皇帝劉詢。在位，前71‐前49年。武帝の曾孫，戻（れい）太子の孫。生後数ヵ月で巫蠱（ふこ）の乱に連座して獄につながれたが，大赦に遭い，民間で生育した。18歳のときに廃帝劉賀の後をうけ霍光（かくこう）に擁立されて即位した。霍光の死後親政し，儒術を統治の方針としたが，むしろ信賞必罰やいわゆる酷吏の登用など覇道のほうに傾いた。漠北では匈奴に内紛が起こり，日逐王や呼韓邪単于（こかんやぜんう）が服属し，西域諸国と通商路の確保のため西域都護を設置した。
