Tibbato

...The revolt was put down by the Roman army four years later, but the anti-Roman popular movement that arose in the region afterwards was called the Bagaudai. The movement intensified again in the 5th century, when in 407 five provinces, mainly Armorica, declared independence and resisted Rome for ten years. In 435, an independent government led by Tibbato was established, and small peasants, colonies, and slaves who suffered under the heavy taxes of Rome also joined the movement, which continued until 451. Around this time, the Bagaudai movement also arose in the Tarraconensis region of Hispania.
