Year of birth: Unknown A powerful official of the Wa kingship who is thought to have existed around the end of the 4th century. He is said to be the son of the legendary Takeuchi no Sukune, and the father of Emperor Nintoku's Empress Iwanohime, Tamada no Sukune, and Ashida no Sukune. The name Sachihihi, which appears in the Baekje Record, quoted in the Nihon Shoki in the entry for the 62nd year of the regency of Empress Jingu, is said to be a corrupted pronunciation of Osutsuhiko, and is attracting attention as an indication of his existence. In the 5th year of the regency of Jingu, he was sent as an emissary when Shimizu Mischi Heo Chi Beolhan (Mischih) of Silla returned to Japan under false pretenses, and when he found out he had been deceived, he killed the Silla emissary and took the prisoners back with him. In the same year, he attempted to subjugate Silla, but two beautiful women were sent to him, and he instead attacked the country of Kara, which incurred the Emperor's wrath, and he died in a stone cave. <References> Inoue Mitsusada, "The Katsuragi Clan as Seen in the Imperial Chronicles" (Inoue Mitsusada Collected Works, Vol. 1) (Sato Nagato) Source: Asahi Japanese Historical Biography: Asahi Shimbun Publications Inc.
