〘Noun〙 A type of head used in Bunraku puppet theatre. The name comes from "Oniwakamaru of Mt. Shosha (Benkei's childhood name)" in "Oniichihogen Sanryakumaki." The face is round, with large eyes, crescent-shaped eyebrows, tightly pressed lips, and a baby-like face. A young man of unrivaled strength in the Danshichi lineage, Sugiomaru in "Kurumabiki" and Kato Toranosuke in "Ama-ga-saki" are given kuma shadows . 〘名〙 人形浄瑠璃に用いる首(かしら)の一種。「鬼一法眼三略巻」の「書写山の鬼若丸(弁慶の幼名)」から出た名称。丸顔で目が大きく三日月眉、唇は強く結んでおり、童顔。団七系の大力無双の青年で、「車引」の杉王丸、「尼が崎」の加藤虎之助には隈(くま)を入れて用いる。
