Kaminoyama [Hot Springs] - Kaminoyama

...It is a city located in the southeastern part of Yamagata Prefecture, in the southern part of the Yamagata Basin, and occupies the western foot of Mount Zao. In 1954, Kaminoyama Town and the five villages of Saigo, Honjo, Higashi, Miyaoi, and Nakagawa were merged to form a city. The population is 38,047 (1995).
