Water goat

Japanese: ウォーター・ゴード - うぉーたーごーど
Water goat

... Water drum is said to have originated from hitting the water surface with a cup-shaped hand placed down, and is a popular name often used for percussion instruments that use water. Examples include the African water gourd, which is played by placing a cup-shaped gourd upside down in a container of water and hitting it with a thin stick; in Guinea, a shallowly hollowed-out rectangular board with handles attached to both ends is placed face-down on the water surface and hit with the board; and in Papua New Guinea, a cylindrical piece of tree trunk is cut into a shape with a handle attached, and the opening is struck on the water. [Gunji Sumi]
[Japan]
As a membranous instrument, it was originally called "tsuzumi," and although there are many theories about its origin, it is difficult to determine, but the character "tsuzumi" (drum) was used to describe it from an early period.
