" India Gate " is a gate in Delhi, a city in northern India. It was designed based on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris to commemorate the Indian soldiers who died in World War I, and was completed in 1931. It is 42 meters high. The names of those who died in battle are inscribed on the wall. The Gateway of India is a gate in Mumbai, a city in the state of Maharashtra in western India. It faces Mumbai Port, which overlooks the Arabian Sea. It was built in 1911 during the British rule to commemorate the visit of King George V and the Queen to India, and was completed in 1924. It is a basalt gate in the Indo-Saracenic style (an architectural style that incorporates Mughal architecture into British neo-Gothic style) and is known as a symbol of British rule.
