Intermediate film

Japanese: インターミディエイトフィルム - いんたーみでぃえいとふぃるむ
Intermediate film

...A photosensitive material that has a thin membrane (called film) as a support and a layer of photographic emulsion on top of it. It is often simply called film. It is made by coating a photographic emulsion, which is made by dispersing fine silver halide crystal particles in a gelatin solution, onto a cellulose triacetate or polyethylene terephthalate film and drying it. The thickness of the film varies depending on the application, but films in the range of 80 μm to 200 μm are usually used. A film that has a reversed light and dark color to that of the subject when developed (in the case of color, the hue is also complementary) is called a negative type, and a film that has the same image as the subject when developed (development in this case is called reversal development) is called a positive type (also called a reversal type or reversal type). ...
