Insei Daidai - Insei Daidai

... The Paleozoic Era is characterized by the appearance of organisms larger than microscopic size with hard tissue, i.e., chitinous or calcareous skeletal structures (mainly shells), for the first time in the geological era. The Precambrian Era, which lasted for about 3 billion years after life first emerged, was called the Cryptozoic Era because it was populated only by tiny shellless primitive organisms. However, during the last 100 million years or so, large shellless invertebrates developed rapidly (represented by the Ediacara fauna in Australia and the Nectarini fauna in Africa), and some have suggested that this period should be separated as the Eocambrian period, the first period of the Phanerozoic Era, and therefore the first period of the Paleozoic Era. ...

From [Geological Age]

...Reign, kingdom, lineage, series, and stage are chronological stratigraphic divisions, while epoch, era, period, era, and period are age divisions.
[Secret Era]
The major divisions of the geological system, or the chronology of the geological ages, are the Eons or Kingdoms Eon, which are divided into two: Cryptozoic, meaning "no clear evidence of the existence of life," and Phanerozoic, meaning "clear traces of the existence of life." However, while the name Phanerozoic is accepted worldwide, the Cryptozoic has been almost forgotten, and instead the Precambrian is often used.

*Some of the terminology explanations that refer to the "Occult Era" are listed below.
