Negative element - Inseigenso (English spelling) negative element

Negative element - Inseigenso (English spelling) negative element

This is the general term used for elements with a relatively high electronegativity. It is the opposite of electropositive elements. In the periodic table, the elements in group 17, i.e. the halogen elements, are the most electropositive, with fluorine and chlorine being the most representative electropositive elements. Other examples include oxygen and sulfur in group 16, and nitrogen in group 15. When an atom of an electropositive element bonds with an atom of another element, the ionic bond element is large if the other element is an electropositive element, and the covalent bond element is large if the other element is relatively electropositive. When an ion forms, it often becomes an anion.
