…江戸時代の尻無川は九条島と寺島，勘助島との間を流れ，下流では市岡，泉尾などの新田開発が進んだ。大正期に入って，大阪築港工事の一環として川幅が拡張され，岩崎運河，大正運河，千歳運河の掘削や埋立地造成が進んだため，造船，ガス，金属，機械の工場が河岸に進出し，臨海工業地区となった。1952年に上流は埋め立てられ，岩崎運河のみで木津川と連絡することとなったが，下流左岸の大正内港は，国内貿易埠頭と鉄鋼埠頭を設置する大阪港の物流基地である。…
