Japanese sweets manufactured and sold by Tsuruya Yoshinobu, a Japanese sweets shop with its main store in Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto City. These stick-shaped confections are made by hand, with red bean paste and murasame. They are characterized by a spiral pattern reminiscent of the well water of Kanze Inari Shrine. Other products include "Okinakyo Kanze," which uses white bean paste and murasame, and "Midorikyo Kanze," which uses matcha. Source: About Shogakukan Digital Daijisen Plus Information |
