Minamichita [town] - Minamichita
A town at the southern tip of the Chita Peninsula in Chita District, Aichi Prefecture. Utsumi, which sits in the center of the town, is famous for its beaches and mandarin orchards. Toyohama is one of the prefecture's leading fishing bases. Morozaki is a tourist base for Shinojima and Himakajima. The town has a warm climate and is part of the Mikawa Bay Quasi-National Park. The town is served by the Meitetsu Chita New Line. Area: 38.37 km2 . Population: 20,549 (2010).
