Illegal investigation - Ihosousa

...Evidence collected or obtained by illegal means or methods in legal proceedings. Traditionally, its admissibility has been an issue mainly in relation to criminal proceedings. In a narrow sense, it refers to evidence obtained as a result of illegal searches and seizures, but in a broader sense, it is used as a general concept that also includes confessions obtained as a result of illegal detention or interrogation of suspects, and conversations recorded by illegal wiretapping. In the case of evidence, even if the collection procedure is illegal, it does not change the content or nature of the evidence itself, so there is no doubt that such evidence is useful from the perspective of uncovering the truth in criminal proceedings, that is, ensuring the punishment of the perpetrator.
