Bahā' al‐Din

Japanese: バハー・アッディーン(英語表記)Bahā’ al‐Dīn
Bahā' al‐Din
1145‐1234
A biographer of the Ayyubid dynasty. Born in Mosul and died in Aleppo. He was in Mosul, but later served Salah al-Din as a military qadi and accompanied him until his death. He then served his son in Aleppo. His main work, Salah al-Din, is the most important biography of Salah al-Din and the most important historical source of the period. The section dealing with the latter part of his life, in particular, is full of valuable information, as the author himself accompanied him during that period.
