どんな病気か

　妊娠している子宮体部(たいぶ)に起こる裂傷を子宮破裂といいます。多くは分娩時に起こり、突発的で大量の腹腔内出血と腟からの出血を伴います。母子ともに死亡する可能性のある救急疾患であり、迅速な診断と適切な治療、とくに輸血を中心とする母体の全身管理と緊急手術が必要になります。全妊娠の0.1％程度に発生しています。

原因は何か

　産道に問題があって、分娩が進行しにくい状態で、強すぎる陣痛が起こった場合に発生します。児頭骨盤不均衡(じとうこつばんふきんこう)、骨盤内腫瘍、軟産道強靭(なんさんどうきょうじん)などが誘因になりえます。多産婦、帝王切開術や子宮手術後の瘢痕(はんこん)のために子宮に弱い部分がある場合に起こりやすい疾患です。また陣痛促進薬の投与、産科手術（鉗子(かんし)分娩、吸引分娩、骨盤位牽出術(けんしゅつじゅつ)など）が原因となる場合もあります。
