Kadayu Bushi - Kadayu Bushi
A school of kojoruri. It is a style of storytelling that was started by Uji Kadayu (with the title Kaga no Jō) in Kyoto in 1675. It features a Noh-style style and had many disciples, and flourished in Kyoto until his death in 1711. Along with Inoue Harimajō, who was active in Osaka, he had a great influence on Takemoto Gidayū as the final tayu of kojoruri.

古浄瑠璃の一派。延宝3 (1675) 年京都で宇治嘉太夫 (受領号加賀掾) が始めた語り方で,謡曲風を特色とし,門人多く,正徳1 (1711) 年彼の死にいたるまで京都で盛行した。大坂で活躍した井上播磨掾とともに,古浄瑠璃の最後を飾る太夫として竹本義太夫に多大の影響を与えた。
