Meanwhile, during the Tenmei period (1781-89), Tokoname Genkosai emerged, opening up the world of tea ware, and towards the end of the Edo period, master craftsmen such as Uemura Hakuo, Akai Tozen, and Ina Chozo appeared, demonstrating their skills in pottery carving, raku ware, white clay, and mogake glaze.
