Ashikaga-sama's signature - Ashikaga Yokaou

...It is a symbol or code-like informal signature, also called a stamp, a written stamp, a stamp, or an oji. The origin of the kao is in the cursive style of the signature. This is called a soumiyo, and a kao is a special form of the soumiyo that the stroke order and shape of the soumiyo cannot be considered as a normal character.
[Origin and types]
Kao was first seen in China, during the mid-Tang dynasty at the latest. It is believed that Japan's kao also began to be used following the Chinese example, and surviving historical documents suggest that this occurred around the first half of the 10th century (the first kao was seen by Sakanoue Tsuneyuki in 933).
