Location difference land rent - Ichinosagakuchidai

...Transitional rent forms are commodity-economic rents that have been liberated from feudal relations of domination and servitude, but they are small-scale peasant rents that have not yet developed to the point where capitalist agricultural management can pay the excess profits that exceed the average profits as rent. This is thought to include the rent in kind paid by tenant farmers in Japan's family-based small-scale farming before World War II.

[Differential land rent]
Based on the difference in the fertility of the land and the difference in its location, i.e., its distance from the central market of the city, there are two types of differential rent: (1) fertility differential rent and (2) location differential rent. Both were pioneered by A. Smith's The Wealth of Nations.
