From her first marriage she gave birth to Tiberius (later Emperor), and after divorcing, she remarried Octavian (later Emperor Augustus) in 38 BC. It is said that due to her beauty and intelligence, her husband's love and respect for her remained constant throughout her life. In his will, she was given the title Augusta (meaning "sublime woman"), and even in her later years she exerted a strong influence on her son, Emperor Tiberius.
