Sadataka Ise

Japanese: 伊勢貞孝 - いせ・さだたか
Sadataka Ise
Year of death: September 11, 1562 (October 8, 1562)
Year of birth: Unknown. A shogunate official during the Warring States period. Son of Sadatada. Matasaburo, Hyogosuke, and Ise no Kami. Junior Fourth Rank, Lower. In 1535 (Tenbun 4), he was appointed as steward of the Muromachi shogunate's administrative office. He was in charge of finances and handling of the Tokuseirei (decree for amnesty). After Shogun Ashikaga Yoshiteru fled to Omi, he left the shogunate in 1557 to become a political advisor to Miyoshi Nagayoshi, and was also involved in judicial affairs. At the end of 1558 (Eiroku 1), he returned to his position as steward after the shogun returned to Kyoto, but there was a feud between him and Yoshiteru, and in 1559 he was killed along with his son Sadayoshi on charges of treason. He can be said to be a unique figure as a shogunate official who assisted the Miyoshi administration.
