Kanjo Scroll - Kanjo no Maki

Japanese:
Kanjo Scroll - Kanjo no Maki
A classification of Heikyoku repertoire. It refers to five pieces depicting the later years of Kenreimon'in. The main Heikyoku pieces for transmission are 13 reading pieces, five gokkumono pieces, and five kanjo-maki pieces. The kanjo-maki pieces are the highest level, and were supposed to be transmitted to the disciples at the stage when they had mastered all of the hiramono pieces out of the approximately 200 Heikyoku pieces. In other words, since it was a transmission equivalent to Kaiden, it was likened to the kanjo, which is the transmission of the lineage of esoteric Buddhism sects, and it is said that the disciples practiced beforehand as a preliminary practice, and on the day of the transmission, they were solemnly transmitted at a ceremony with incense burning.
