Gastric mesentery

…All these parts move well within the abdominal cavity and can change their relative positions to some extent. The stomach also has a mesentery, called the “mesogastric mesentery,” which can be distinguished into the anterior mesentery, which connects to the anterior abdominal wall, and the posterior mesentery, which connects to the posterior abdominal wall. Both the anterior and posterior mesenteries have a fairly complex shape, forming a chamber surrounded by peritoneum behind the stomach called the “omentum,” from which a part of the posterior mesentery extends downward to form the “greater omentum.”
