At Ikaruga-ji Temple, there is a record of the villa from 1398 (Oei 5) titled "Karusho Hikitsuke," which is a valuable historical document that concretely shows the villa from the Muromachi to Sengoku periods. It gives detailed information about the village life of the time, including the dispute over water irrigation, the investigation into the Ikko sect, and the worship of the prince, as well as the military rule of the Yamana clan after the Kakitsu War and the turmoil after the Onin War.
