[1] A general term for the six Tamagawa areas of Ide, Mishima, Noji, Takano, Chofu, and Noda, which are mentioned in songs. [2] Title of a Japanese piece of music based on (1). ① A koto group song. Composed by Mitsuhashi Kengyo around the Horeki era ( 1751-64 ). ② Tomimoto. The dance piece "Six Tamagawa Chidori no Shigarami " ( Six Tamagawa Chidori Fence) premiered at the Edo Ichimuraza Theater in 1799 (Kansei 11). ③ Nagauta, Kiyomoto, and Shinnai. The dance drama "Six Tamagawa Shuka no Sugatami" (Six Tamagawa Shuka Mirror) premiered at the Edo Nakamuraza Theater in 1817 (Bunka 14 ). ④ Nagauta. The dance drama "Six Tamagawa Kotoji no Karigane" (Six Tamagawa Kotobashira no Karigane) premiered at the Edo Kawarazakiza Theater in 1829 ( Bunsei 12 ). This is set in the scene opposite " Minaminosakigake Soga, " where the Soga brothers and Shosho perform a dance in bleached cloth at Tamagawa in Noji. ⑤ Tomimoto. "Kusamakuratsuyu no Tamakaw" composed by Tobaya Satonaga III for pure performance in 1846. ⑥ Tomimoto and Nagauta. "Roku Tamagawa Iroe no Sugatami," a dance drama, premiered at the Edo Nakamuraza in 1849. Tomimoto was composed by Tobaya Satonaga IV, and Nagauta by Kineya Rokuzaemon 10. ⑦ Kiyomoto. [一] 歌に詠まれる井手・三島・野路・高野・調布・野田の六か所の玉川の総称。[二] 邦楽の曲名。(一)を題材としたもの。① 箏組歌。宝暦（一七五一‐六四）頃、三橋検校作曲。② 富本。寛政一一年（一七九九）江戸市村座初演の舞踊曲「六玉川鵆柵(ちどりのしがらみ)」。③ 長唄・清元・新内。文化一四年（一八一七）江戸中村座初演の舞踊劇「六玉川秀歌姿見(しゅうかのすがたみ)」。④ 長唄。文政一二年（一八二九）、江戸河原崎座初演の舞踊劇「六玉川琴柱(ことじ)の雁(かりがね)」。「江南魁曾我(みんなみにさきがけそが)」の対面の場にはめ込んだもので、野路の玉川の所で、曾我兄弟と少将が晒(さらし)の踊りをする。⑤ 富本。弘化三年（一八四六）純演奏用として、三世鳥羽屋里長作曲の「草枕露の玉歌和」。⑥ 富本・長唄。嘉永二年（一八四九）江戸中村座初演の舞踊劇「六玉川彩絵姿鏡(いろえのすがたみ)」。作曲は、富本を四世鳥羽屋里長、長唄を十代目杵屋六左衛門。⑦ 清元。⑤を少し補綴。合方が活躍。⑧ 山田流。⑤を編曲した琴唄。
