Iga Rebellion

…The Iga Sokoku Ikki was destroyed by the forces of Oda Nobukatsu, who invaded Iga under the orders of Oda Nobunaga in September 1581 (Tensho 9). [Early Modern Period]
In 1581, Oda Nobunaga sent in a large army to pacify the Iga Rebellion, which was so devastating that it was described as a "destruction," and it had a major impact on the structure of rural areas. After that, after the Takikawa and Wakisaka clans, in 1585, Tsutsui Sadatsugu was transferred from Yamato to Iga with a fief of 50,000 koku by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and built his castle in Ueno.
