Ewins, AJ (English spelling) EwinsAJ

…A strong base, choline acetate. It was isolated as a salt by A.J. Ewins from the ergot fungus, and is found in large quantities in other plants, such as shepherd's purse and potatoes. In animals, it is also found in the spleen and placenta, but is most abundant in the nervous system.
