Imawatari - Imawatari

A district in Kani City, Gifu Prefecture. Formerly Imawatari Town. Located in the northern part of the city, on a terrace on the left bank of the Kiso River, it was once a river crossing to Ota-juku (Minokamo City) on the Nakasendo Road. Ota Bridge connecting Ota and Imawatari was completed in 1927 (Showa 2). The Nagoya Railroad Hiromi Line, National Route 21, and National Route 248 pass through here.

岐阜県可児市(かにし)の一地区。旧今渡町。市の北部、木曽(きそ)川左岸の段丘上にある地区で、かつては中山道(なかせんどう)太田宿（美濃加茂(みのかも)市）への渡河宿場。太田―今渡を結ぶ太田橋は1927年（昭和2）完成。名古屋鉄道広見(ひろみ)線、国道21号、248号が通じる。
