Iga no mono

Japanese: 伊賀之者 - いがのもの
Iga no mono

...Also the name of the position they held in the Edo Shogunate. They are also called Iga no mono or Iga shu. They were low-ranking warriors whose duties were spies and scouts in wartime and menial tasks in peacetime.
