It has a history of 400 years since the Nichiren sect opened Iizuka Dansho (the predecessor of Iitaka Danrin) as a training center for monks in what is now Katori-gun, Chiba Prefecture in 1573 (Tensho 1). This was the center of the danrin schools that were subsequently established in the Kanto and Kansai regions, and in 1904, under the Senmon Gakkou (Specialized Schools) Act, it was reorganized as Nichiren Daigakurin and moved to its current location. ...
